But you might be in a position to obtain a protective order. If you have evidence that they are bringing in food he should not be eating, and evidence from the nurses or his doctor that this is bad for him, and that you have told them what happens, the court will probably give you some sort of relief from these pests. When you leave the cage, make sure the last thing you take off is your dust mask after everything else is disposed of. Doesn't matter whether he is an inmate or not. He is still a human being. What bothers me is, where did he pick up this Mesothelioma from? Another question is, is he here in the USA legally or not? If, what is happening to this man in prison is true, then the Doctor, nurse or whoever, are guilty of depraved indifference to a person's plight. First thing I would do, is try to go and see him. Observe what is going on around him and the physical condition of his surroundings. Don't talk to the guards - just observe. Then, go talk to the Warden and take his attorney with you, Don't go alone. I would ask him what medications and other treatment your uncle is supposed to get, and what he HAS been given up to now! If the Warden flips you off, I would consider going to the Media, especially if conditions are bad. The morphine patch is given to him just to keep him quiet. and, if that's ALL he is getting, he could very well BE addicted to it!
